Carlos has struggled to manage his IBS and GERD symptoms for 15 years. Despite countless doctor visits, he felt like never had the evidence or awareness to understand what works and how to discern between treatment and care options.
Through graduate studies, Carlos learned about behavior health science and health intervention design which helped him understand the profound connection between self-efficacy and disease management.
Carlos realized that effective gut health management isn't just about tracking symptoms and following treatment plans—it's about having reliable, personalized guidance when it matters most. Drawing from his lived-experience and product design expertise, he is building GastroKnowMi to provide others the informed support he wished he had earlier in his gut health journey.

Carlos Morla | Founder and CEO
Carlos is a product designer, former product manager and technology consultant, who has worked on solutions for consumer digital health and federal healthcare clients.
His academic background in sociology and human-computer interaction coupled with experiences building agentic enterprise products and designing retail product testing and creator tools have helped shaped is vision for GastroKnowMi.
